What is Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)?
A financial and family protection plan paid for by City of Hartford, which provides a lump-sum payment, known as a death benefit, to a beneficiary upon the death of employee. AD&D coverage is included as a part of life insurance benefits and will pay out a lump-sum death benefit in the event you or a covered loved one are killed accidentally or die later as the direct result of an accident.
